FOR YOUR PLUMBER

Installation guide

A short professional walk-through — bracketing, connections, commissioning and finish care.

Before you begin

Ensure the system is drained, isolated and de-pressurised. Have inhibitor to hand. On a stud wall, fix a horizontal timber batten across at least two studs.

Fitting the brackets

Mark centre lines using the supplied template. Fixings must be rated for cast iron (M8 into masonry, coach bolts to timber batten). Check level twice.

Hanging the radiator

Two-person lift. Hang the body on the brackets, ensuring the tappings clear any skirting return. Fit the top vent and bottom tappings before bolting the body to the brackets.

Connecting valves

Use PTFE tape on the tapping threads. Angled valves for a floor-mounted pipe, straight valves for a wall-mounted pipe. Tighten firmly but do not over-torque cast tappings.

Commissioning

Refill the system, add inhibitor to the specified concentration, pressure-test to 1.5 bar. Vent air from the top tapping. Balance the flow after full warm-up.

Finish care

Wipe with a soft damp cloth. Never use abrasives or solvent-based cleaners on painted finishes.
